Advion’s Line of expression Compact Mass Spectrometers Now Integrated with a wide range of (U)HPLC Systems through Clarity Software

Dedicated to Science, Dedicated to You

September 10, 2013 – Indianapolis, IN – Advion, Inc., the dominant supplier of Compact Mass Spectrometers for life sciences, food and environmental applications, announced during the National American Chemical Society meeting this week that its family of expression compact mass spectrometers (CMS) now integrates with a wide range of (U)HPLC systems through Clarity software. Developed by Data Apex, Clarity chromatography software has gained broad acceptance in the global (U)HPLC control and data processing market.

Clarity currently supports more than 250 LC modules and related prep LC systems.  This latest release expands Clarity’s LC capability to include the expression CMS product line in this versatile and easy to use software.  Clarity will provide full LC/CMS integration with LC systems including Agilent, Antec, CVC, GL Science, Young-Lin, Hanon, Ingos, Knauer, LabAlliance, Hitachi, Shimadzu, SSI, ECOM, Rigol and others.

“The ability to run the expression CMS range with Clarity creates a seamless and flexible solution with an incredibly broad range of LC systems.” says Simon Prosser, PhD, Advion’s Vice President of Marketing. “Although many of our users are focused on one area of research, they tend to operate on several platforms and utilize different workflows.  Advion’s mass spectrometers offer a flexible solution for mass analysis. Clarity also provides the analytical chemist with the tools they need for quantitative analysis in a GMP or GLP environment.”

Features of the Clarity software include complete instrument control, data acquisition and processing, a full quantitation package, CFR21 part 11 compliance, and MS libraries. The software is available for purchase by contacting Advion’s customer service group and will ship in mid-December.
