European Customer Support Specialist

The Company:

Advion is the scientific leader in microfluidics systems for chemistry and biochemistry applications. Our unique nanotechnologies, include the TriVersa NanoMate, a chip-based nanoelectrospray system that enhances the performance of Mass Spectrometers. Our products are used in Universities, pharmaceutical and Biotech companies around the world for research into proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics, drug metabolism and other markets
Due to increased sales and greater worldwide presence we need to strengthen our support team.

The Role:

This customer support role will initially be focused on post-sales activities including installation, troubleshooting/repair, routine maintenance, phone-based technical support and customer training. However, the successful applicant will be encouraged to quickly progress to a point where they are also able to confidently perform application support and demonstrations. There may also be the opportunity to present data at scientifically relevant conferences.

You will be home-based, located in Europe. Although your territory will chosen to minimize travel, you will often be asked to work outside this area and it is anticipated that > 30% of your evenings will be spent away from home. This is a European role and will involve a significant amount of travel within Europe. There will also be the opportunity to travel further afield including Asia to support our growing worldwide presence.

You will be tasked with planning and organizing your own work within your designated territory and will be expected to work closely with other members of the European support and sales team.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Ability to fault find and repair/replace to component level
  • Experience operating and/or repairing Mass Spectrometers
  • Electronically competent, Good business computer literacy
  • English-speaking, French-speaking an advantage
  • Driving License
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work across all levels, functions and regions

Compensation
