Job Title: Regional Account Manager – Chromatography & Mass Spectrometry
Location: West Coast (required)
Hiring Range: $80,000 – $105,000 DOE

Position Summary: We are currently looking for a high-performing individual who is passionate about mass spectrometry and chromatography, seasoned at selling, or looking to make the switch from the lab to the commercial side of the industry. As part of our Sales Group, the Regional Account Manager will be instrumental in supporting our sales initiatives while building and maintaining collaborative working relationships with customers, potential customers, and colleagues. Achieve defined monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for revenue, profitability for the territory, and specific product volumes. Perform hands-on demonstrations of instruments and consumable products to demonstrate business value and product differentiation; prepare presentations; generate quotes; and provide accurate sales forecasts. Principal Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will be the strategic development of our Flash and Preparative Chromatography, Evaporation, HPLC, and Compact Mass Spectrometry business into Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and CRO accounts across North America.
• Achieve defined monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for revenue, profitability for the territory, and specific product volumes.
• Responsible for lead generation and management, including identification, initial qualification, and development of leads.
• Identify and develop new customer relationships.
• Work with marketing to identify and execute cost-effective lead generation campaigns targeted at end users, including advertising, PR, trade shows, newsletters, and webinars.
• Installation and support of less sophisticated systems & products and provide first-level support for customers’ service needs.
• Perform hands-on demonstration of instruments and consumable products to demonstrate business value and product differentiation.
• Timely follow up and qualification of leads and document results in CRM platform.
• Accurate and up to date documentation of sales activities and opportunity status in CRM platform.
• Represent the company at conferences as needed.
• Develop and present technical seminars as needed.
• Generate quotes and negotiate pricing within authorized limits.
• Provide on time and accurate sales forecasts.

This position will report directly to VP of Sales, North America.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-based discipline with at least two (2) years of experience in related sales positions or laboratories; work experience or post-graduate experience.
• Exceptional customer service, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively, be a self-starter, be creative, and have strong organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment with shifting priorities.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and CRM software (Salesforce.com).
• Must foster and maintain solid working relationships with colleagues, customers, and potential customers.
• Substantiated ability to negotiate and close business.

Home base Location: West Coast

Travel Required:
• 3-5 (average of 4) days per week in the field directly interfacing with prospects and customers.
• Valid driver’s license
• Air travel as required
