Job Title: Electrical Test Engineer II
Location: Ithaca, NY
Hiring Range: $74,500 – $85,000

Position Summary: The Electrical Test Engineer II provides technical expertise and support for electronic projects, including RF frequency electronics and impedance matching systems. The successful candidate will have broad knowledge of analog and digital circuit design as well as working knowledge of embedded hardware and firmware testing and troubleshooting.

This position requires in-person work from the Ithaca, NY office.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides technical expertise and support for electronic projects, including RF frequency electronics and impedance matching systems.
• Coordinates the launch of new/revised products to manufacturing by ensuring the release criteria have been met and by training technicians and other personnel on the electronic aspects of the new/revised products.
• Provides continuous improvement and design support for existing electronic products with a focus on PCBs. This responsibility includes updating or redesigning existing electronics for improved manufacturability, product lifecycle, and quality.
• Develops troubleshooting workflows for technicians and field-service engineers and assists these groups with troubleshooting as necessary.
• Works closely with the field service group and the quality department to ensure issues in the field are not related to production quality. Implements changes to resolve any identified production related issues.
• Communicates with suppliers to ensure failure information is communicated/shared and that corrective actions are issued when needed. Monitors performance of vendors as needed.
• Represents sustaining engineering on cross-functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience or MS degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong technical, problem solving, and analytical skills.
• Design and analysis experience in analog and digital circuitry, preferably including RF frequency electronics and impedance matching systems.
• Experience and knowledge of RF electronics is highly desirable.
• Experience in programming FPGAs and microcontrollers.
• Ability to work with peripherals: ADC/DAC, SPI bus, I2C, nonvolatile memory, DRAM
• Familiarity with KiCAD
• Knowledge of new product development processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects.
